Training at Narrikup Netball Club
At Narrikup Netball Club, training is an important part of player development, teamwork and enjoyment of the game. We aim to provide a supportive and well‑structured training environment for all players.
Training Schedule
- Teams generally train once per week during the season.
- Training details (day, time and venue) will be advised by the coach before the season begins and communicated if changes occur.
- Additional training sessions may take place throughout the season in consultation with the team and coach, depending on team needs and goals.
Training Costs
- Standard training costs are included in the player registration fee and are paid at the time of registration.
- Any additional or optional training sessions (such as extra skills sessions or specialised training) are not included in the registration fee and will be organised separately by arrangement between the coach and team.
Player Expectations
Players are expected to:
- Attend training regularly and arrive on time.
- Notify their coach as early as possible if they are unable to attend training.
- Come prepared with the correct uniform, footwear and equipment.
- Make an honest effort at training and participate positively.
- Behave respectfully towards coaches, teammates, officials and other participants.
- Advise the coach of any injury or illness that may affect their ability to train safely.
- Attendance and commitment at training are recognised as important factors in player development and team preparation.
Safety and Behaviour at Training
In line with the Club Handbook:
- Player safety and wellbeing is a priority at all training sessions.
- Appropriate warm‑up and cool‑down activities are encouraged to reduce the risk of injury.
- Players must participate in training fairly, safely and responsibly.
- The use of alcohol, tobacco or drugs during club activities, including training, is not permitted.
- All players are expected to follow the Club’s Codes of Behaviour, which promote respect, fair play and a positive environment.
Parents and Guardians
Parents and carers are asked to:
- Ensure players arrive on time and are collected promptly after training.
- Support coaches and players by encouraging positive behaviour and good sportsmanship.
- Raise any concerns through the appropriate club channels rather than during training sessions.
